“Sound of Democracy” is an immersive multichannel sound and light installation that traverses the IWM’s Soundings archive, transforming and reframing the voices and sounds that have been collected there over the last two years. Through live algorithmic processes of spatialization , repetition and regeneration, the source material is made at once vivid and strange. MUKUL PATEL Senior Research Associate at the AiDesign Lab, Royal College of Art, London, has composed extensively for contemporary dance and his works with sound have been seen in galleries, public spaces, used in stage and film; lighting concept by long-standing collaborator MANU LUKSCH.
